Rhonda Shear to introduce female-driven horror double feature
The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs has secured an exciting guest star for its annual Halloween marathon: Rhonda Shear, the beloved host of the '90s late-night cable staple "USA Up All Night."
Shear will join Briggs on Friday, October 28, for a special double feature of female-driven horror films.
"I'm thrilled to have Rhonda Shear join me for this year's Nightmareathon," said Briggs. "She's a true icon of horror hosting, and I know she'll bring her unique brand of wit and charm to the show."
Shear is best known for hosting "USA Up All Night" from 1989 to 1998. The show featured a mix of classic and cult horror films, as well as interviews with cast and crew members.
Shear is also an accomplished actress, having starred in films such as The First Wives Club and The Brady Bunch Movie.
The Nightmareathon will take place over three nights, from October 28-30. In addition to the double feature with Shear, Briggs will also be showing a variety of other horror films, including classics like Night of the Living Dead and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
