In a highly anticipated match between two South American powerhouses, Uruguay and Colombia played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in Barranquilla on Thursday night.
Uruguay took an early lead through Mathías Olivera in the 47th minute, but Colombia responded with two goals in quick succession from James Rodríguez and Radamel Falcao.
The draw leaves both teams in the middle of the pack in the Conmebol World Cup qualifying standings, with Uruguay in fourth place and Colombia in fifth.
With only four matches remaining in the qualifying campaign, both teams will need to find more consistency if they want to secure a spot in the 2023 FIFA World Cup.
